John Maynard, half of the Robin and Maynard team has been in radio for, well, a few years. We talk about his time at KJRB in Spokane, KJR AM, KXRX, KZOK, and The Buzz 100.7.

John Maynard started working in radio in the seventies as a DJ at Seattle’s KJR AM which at the time was the dominant AM station in the Seattle market. After a brief stint as a restaurateur and night club owner, Maynard returned to radio with Robin Erickson, creating the hugely popular “Robin and Maynard Show.” In the more than 20 years under that marquee, Maynard flew with the Blue Angels, piloted the Goodyear Blimp, sang with Donny Osmond and hung out in a Universal Studios bar with Kojak (Telly Savalas).

Groz and Gas! I found a couple of Seattle radio legends who are reuniting for the first time in 4 years. Dave Grosby and Mike Gastineau did a show together for 14 years. They have just a couple of stories to tell about their time in radio.

Dave Grosby is the co-host of “Bob and Groz.” The Groz has spent the last 22 years of his 40-year broadcast career as a Seattle sports talk show host. Dave is also the play-by-play announcer for Seattle U basketball on KTTH 770. Before coming to Seattle, Dave worked at KFI in Los Angeles and KFBK in Sacramento.

Finally a new podcast that gets into the reason Scott hasn’t been able to do a new one for a while.  The guys discuss the dawgs and hawks, bullying, and the usual nonsense that accompanies a podcast.  Over two hours of free entertainment for you and only you.  Sorry it took so long, they should be back on a somewhat regular schedule.  Wait, why are you holding your breath, don’t do that!

New podcast finally up.  Lots to catch up on, including Stephen’s 25 year reunion and LOTS of football talk.

FINALLY a new podcast! The guys catch up on their lives, talk some sports, and even check in with an old friend via THE Skype.  They started out talking about the top 100 movies of all time, until Stephen, who had been up since 1:15 AM let out a giant yawn, and Scott suggested it may be time to pack it in.  Enjoy!

Trent has created another music oriented podcast for your listening pleasure! This time Trent plays you songs from the powerful and glorious band Led Zeppelin. All the songs played are live cuts from live albums and bootlegs. Trent also plays some of the original songs from blues artists that influence the mighty.

Trent is a huge music fan, loves Seattle sports, and the capitol of Nebraska is Lincoln!

Scott gives a quick update on the Ghost situation. Stephen talks about going to Gaffigan, and Scott explains how he tried. Some body odor talk, along with what the guys have been up to the past couple weeks.  No, those two aren’t related.  The show ends with The Summer of ’84 movies and what a great year that was for film.  I know there is a lot more that they talked about, but I just can’t remember it all right now.

The podcast kicks off with Scott swearing he has seen a ghost. Twice. New Podcast after the Memorial Day Weekend kicks off with some Arrested Development talk, and Stephen talks about a memorial service he and his son attended which of course leads to a political discussion.  They also discuss the bears in Snoqualmie, Scott’s favorite new discovery, his TV debut, some stats, sports, the bridge, and MUCH MUCH more!

Stephen is back from his cruise, and he has a lot to talk about that experience, including seeing Neil Patrick Harris with his family.  Scott has some women’s fashion questions, and the topic of radio once again gets brought up/discussed.  All this and MUCH MUCH MORE!!!!

We FINALLY finish up our favorite rock bands of all time, enjoy.

The show starts off with a lost gem that Scott re-discovers.  Stephen has some questions about the game of 1-on-1 basketball.  Scott explains why most women are just sheep in this world.  They also discuss the state of income taxes for the rich.  Scott plays his #2 favorite rock band of all time.

Normally I type a description as to what was discussed, but there were 50 different things that were hit on before getting in to Hotshot’s #3 band, and Stephen’s #2 band.  It’s 2 hours of pure joy, trust me, you’ll perhaps like it.

The guys get in to the Super Bowl a bit, the commercial, Destiny’s Child, Ben’s first experience with gambling, and all the making out during the Super Bowl.  Scott Complains once again about the local pool, this time taking it all the way to a manager.

Hey new podcast is up now. Lots of ya know, talk and stuff.  Stephen introduces his son (at his son’s request) about what music was like when Stephen was 7.  So in honor of that, we re-visit 1987 in music.  A little sports talk Sonics/Pro-bowl, do dogs really suck, and some insanely boring movie-grossing talk.  Hold on to your kids, this episode gets pretty nutty! WHOOOO!!!

A new podcast, Saturday  addition for you. Scott talks about his experience at The Parlor Comdedy Club, T-Mobile, and his rat-damaged car.  Stephen talks about the not-so-happy meal situation, Manti, the top “fake girlfriend” songs, and also the top cowbell songs.  Oh and there’s a special acoustic tribute to the our old friend Conrad  Bain.  All that and MUCH MUCH more!

Because Scott is an idiot who has trouble handling the easy day to day tasks like remembering to bring back some of the podcast gear that he took home, there was only one microphone for this podcast.  They did the best they could with one mic talking Seahawks, Sonics, and other non-sports stuff for those that don’t like that stuff.  back to normal next time.
