Good News #4 (kinna)

This is a pretty cool story about a very cool old lady . . . but I STILL wouldn’t want to be stuck behind her in traffic.

102-year-old Margaret Dunning of Plymouth, Michigan is still driving, even at her age. And . . . she’s barely older than her car. Margaret was born in 1910 and she drives a 1930 Packard 740 Roadster.

She bought the car in 1949 and it was in bad shape . . . so she decided to restore it. She still takes care of it herself today and even changes her own oil and spark plugs.

Mostly, Margaret busts out that car for car shows and events. On a day-to-day basis, she drives a 2003 Cadillac.

Good News #3

A guy named Agustin was born in a poor town in Honduras . . . and he had polio when he was a child. (–His last name isn’t given . . . and neither is his age.)

He’s been in a wheelchair ever since, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursing his life’s dream. He’s always dreamed of flying . . . and in 1958, he began building his own helicopter.

Agustin said he thought it would take him a few months to finish. It’s taken him 54 YEARS so far . . . and he’s still not finished.

One reason it’s taken so long is that Agustin is building the whole thing out of GARBAGE. He bought a few pieces of rebar from a hardware store . . . and he took apart a wheelchair given to him by a charity to use the parts, but otherwise, it’s all made from trash.

Despite the difficulties, Agustin says he’s strengthened by those who believe in him, and unconcerned with those who don’t.

Good News #2

The Burning Man festival in Nevada wrapped up earlier this month, and if you think it’s only for hippies and druggies, you’re wrong . . . It’s also for 20-year-old girls who like hula-hooping with almost no clothing on. (???)

(–WARNING: There’s no nudity, but a lot of the girls are in pasties.)

The Good News

Russell Brand may not be your cup of tea comedically, but I think this is pretty cool. When was leaving yoga class in L.A. the other day when he saw a homeless man lying on the ground with no shirt on.

So he stopped and gave the guy some water and a shirt. Then he took him with him in his car to get some food and a bath . . . and he apparently also took him to an AA meeting.

A witness says, quote, “Russell noticed him there and was parked and out of the vehicle in no time to help. He asked the guy his name and what was wrong.

“I heard him offer to take him for some food. Thomas said he wanted a burger, to which Russell replied, ‘You don’t want any of that crap, come to my house and you can have some proper food and a nice bath.”

Another witness told E! Online that he heard Russell say he was taking the guy with him to his AA meeting.

Daily Dumbass!

Men are clearly the creepier of the sexes, read on and find out why. On Saturday night in Rock Hill, North Carolina, a single mother whose first name is Tracy heard strange noises coming from her attic. Eventually she called her nephew to help check it out.

He went up into the attic and figured out what was happening. Turns out Tracy’s 44-year-old EX-BOYFRIEND had broken into her house, and was secretly LIVING IN HER ATTIC. And he’d been there for about TWO WEEKS.

The ex-boyfriend got away.

Tracy says she broke up with the guy more than 12 years ago, and he’s been in and out of jail. He’s always tried to keep in touch with her, but she didn’t want any part of it.

Police are trying to track him down.

Rihanna’s beaten face tattoo’d on Chris Brown’s neck? The truth here.

CHRIS BROWN has a new tattoo of a woman’s face on his neck, and a lot of people think it looks like RIHANNA. Others have speculated that it’s a BATTERED WOMAN . . . because there are marks on the face.

Turns out it’s neither. Brown’s rep says it was inspired by a half-skull design he happened to see . . . which was released by the MAC Cosmetics company in honor of Mexico’s Day of the Dead festival.
