MOTLEY CRUE singer VINCE NEIL fell hard while performing “Girls Girls Girls” in Vegas over the weekend . . . but he had an excellent recovery plan.
While he was on the floor of the stage . . . he made a smooth move to slide over to some girls in the front row of the crowd, and when he got there, they promptly began dancing in his lap.
Billie Joe Armstrong called “Appetite for Destruction”, quote, “the best debut album in the history of rock ‘n’ roll.” And added, quote, “The thing that set them apart from everyone else was guts, heart and soul. Most important, they told the truth.”
After introducing the members that were there, he said, quote, “Let’s see, who am I missing?” That brought LOUD BOOS from the crowd . . . but Billie said, quote, “Shut up. [Axl] was the greatest frontman to ever step in front of a microphone.”
Axl wasn’t the only classic member of Guns that didn’t make it. Original guitarist IZZY STRADLIN and keyboardist DIZZY REED also weren’t there.
Drummer MATT SORUM was there . . . and he joked about coming in to replace original drummer STEVEN ADLER, who was kicked out for doing too many drugs.
He said, quote, “I said, ‘In Guns N’ Roses, how the [eff] is that possible?!’ Steven Adler deserves an award for THAT.”
Steven was there, along with SLASH and DUFF MCKAGAN. They teamed up for a three-song set that included “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City”.
MYLES KENNEDY from ALTER BRIDGE sang . . . and onetime guitarist GILBY CLARKE was also onstage, even though he wasn’t inducted with Guns. Billie Joe from Green Day joined them for “Mr. Brownstone”.
It’s the first time in nearly 20 years that Slash, Duff and Steven performed together.
Stephen Kilbreath and myself discuss our weekend plans that included a bar that was too loud for oneof us and Titanic 3-D being the movie of choice because it is so long (time away from kids). Do you ALWAYS tip, and should you? Car trouble sucks for helpless turds like ourselves, and a whole bunch of stuff I can’t remember talking about. Just listen so I don’t have to.
There’s just something comical about a small woman trying to steal a giant TV.
A woman tried to do it at the Sabal Suites hotel in Tampa on March 21st, but she got caught on a surveillance camera . . . and the screenshot is hilarious.
She can’t be more than 125 pounds . . . and she stole EVERYTHING from a room, including the old-school, non-flat-screen TV.
In the screenshot you can see her struggling to carry it . . . because it’s so much wider than she is. Police are still looking for her.
