With the tragic high school shooting in Ohio this week, schools are on high alert. This HAS to be the first time a school has been LOCKED DOWN because of AUTOCORRECT.

Yesterday morning, a parent in Oakwood, Georgia got a text message that read, quote, “gunman be at west hall today.” West Hall is the name of the local middle school and high school, so the parent called the police.

They told school officials . . . put both schools completely on LOCKDOWN . . . and sent tons of cops to the schools. Meanwhile, they traced the text message.

And thankfully, there wasn’t a gunman . . . it was an AUTOCORRECT. The person sending the message typed, quote, “gunna be at west hall today” . . . and the iPhone changed “g-u-n-n-a” to “gunman.”

Also, the sender had sent the text to the WRONG NUMBER . . . which is why the parent who got it didn’t recognize who it was from.

The lockdown was lifted after about two hours.

A whale-watching tour stumbled on a HUGE pod of dolphins last week off the coast of Dana Point, California. (–About 60 miles south of Los Angeles.) THIS is getting your moneys worth.

According to CBS News, there were about 2,000 of them, and they were swimming at around 25 miles an hour.

Joe Ayoob used to be the quarterback for Cal . . . that’s the University of California, Berkeley, for those of you who don’t watch college sports.  And on Sunday, he set a new world record for “longest paper airplane throw.”   Are you hot yet ladies?

He did it in a hanger at McClellan Air Force Base near Sacramento.  The old record of 207 feet, 4 inches was set in 2003.  Ayoob’s toss was 226 feet, 10 inches . . . or 19-and-a-half feet farther.  Ayoob replaced Aaron Rodgers in case you care.
